For the community
I want to help you share your story. Your life accomplishments and testimonies are something to be proud of.

Let's tell your story

My goal in life is to be a light in this world. I want to help others. I want to celebrate with others. If you have a story you would like to share, please reach out to me to see how I can help.
I want to use my gift of photography to hopefully spread love, joy, and kindness.
In a world full of negativity, there is still good out there. My mission is to hear and document stories from other people and capture 2-5 casual photos of them. These stories and photos will be posted on my social media. Every photo tells a story. You never know what your neighbor is going through. These stories can be anything you want to share. Maybe you are battling an illness, just got engaged, celebrating an anniversary, trying to get through a stressful event, celebrating a milestone, have your own business that you are proud of, or maybe your dog is your best friend and you just want to share that with the world. This idea came to me while in the midst of battling my own illness. I was looking for something to bring joy to myself again, and to bring joy to others. I hope that whoever I photograph will look at their photo with so much joy that a beautiful moment in their life was captured, or maybe it’ll be a photograph they will look back on in the future and say “I made it through that hard time.” I pray that this project blossoms into something beautiful.
I also offer free photo sessions for families experiencing loss or terminal illness (including pets).

In memory of my beloved cat of 13 years, Xena, I offer sessions for families with pets facing terminal illness.

FAQ
Where are the sessions located?
Specific locations will be discussed with you when scheduling. All photos are done in a public location. I am unable to take photos at your home. All sessions are in the greater Dayton, Ohio area.

What should I expect during a "The love your neighbor project" session?
These sessions are casual. I will take 2-5 photos of you. You will tell me your story, or what you would like to share with the world. You will be required to sign a model release prior to me taking your photo. This gives me permission to take your photo and publicly share it with your story/testimony. If a child under the age of 18 will be in any of the photos, their parent or legal guardian must be present to sign this model release. You will receive digital copies of your edited photos via email or an online gallery.

I want to have a photo session done for something else?

If you want to have a photo session done by me, but it does not qualify as part of "The Love Your Neighbor Project" (such as routine family photos, engagement, birthday/milestone sessions, senior pictures, etc.), please reach out to me to discuss availability and pricing.
You can also visit my photography website https://jessicadawnphotography.mypixieset.com/ for more information or to contact me.
At this time, I do a very limited number of paid sessions so that I can fully focus on this project.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
II will send you a confirmation to your email address 2 days prior to your session date. I will also send you a notification to your email if we need to reschedule due to bad weather.
If you need to reschedule for any reason, please let me know prior to your session. If you are sick, I ask that you please reschedule.
